No Wind in the Sails
I sort of lost some interest or intensity or something, I’m not sure what – maybe it was hope, but at today’s JV baseball game the wind just sort of went out of my sails as far as the high school baseball situation. Not sure I’ll even talk about it any more, not that anyone reads the drivel I post here anyway. If I were to talk about it any more I’d undoubtedly begin some kind of rant about what’s happening in this program.
If you can’t say something positive, just shut up…so goodbye.
Oh, both teams won today. Woohoo!
Well there is a least one drivel reader. Searched for Shallowater Mustang baseball and found your blog and have enjoyed the scores and comments you have made concerning the teams it has been nice to find out the same day instead of waiting on the paper and get a little more information. Sorry to hear you stop reporting about them. Don’t know what the situation is but sounds like passion for wins for the team and money for the district. It blinds coaches and board members. You can go too far to win and get more money for more students and lose in the process, but I guess they are to close to see that you can lose while winning. Thanks for the scores and updates and I understand if there are no more you couldn’t find anything good to say. Kudos & thanks also for all the work you do for the little league.
Thanks. That post is a great example of why one should not write anything here coming home from a long day out of sorts. You know, I didn’t even make it to the varsity game (tied up with — TADA — Little League). I also edited that original post to take out a comment that was not warranted. I have not discussed this situation with the board so it’s not fair for me to place judgement on them right now.
If Shallowater and Abernathy keep things in order there will be another big showdown at Shallowater on 4/19. Maybe I’ll get to see that one. Maybe I’ll even be in a better mood.
