Off to a Familiar Start
Unfortunately, not a good one, but one we’re familiar with.
We’ve lost our starting QB again, this time before the season even started. Injured on the last play of our first scrimmage. A few years back we lost our QB in the first game (in fact, same injury if I recall). It was a little tough to overcome.
I’m not sure of the plans for that position but no matter what they do it will have a ripple effect at other positions. In the AA level it always does.
7th Grade Football
I expect my youngest son to be playing in his first 7th grade football game in five weeks. Heh. That should be fun. He’s come up with a workout routine to do at the house. It consists of agility drills, endurance running, speed training and weight lifting. Mind you, he came up with this all on his own. You think this kid wants to play? ![]()
Favre Follies
Is it just me or are you as tired of this “drama” with Favre as I am? I’m retired. I’m not retired. I’m retired, but maybe I’ll come back. But maybe not.
Now maybe they’ll pay me to stay away!
Sad way for a hall of famer to go out. And I’m sick of it. WHO CARES any more? It has become a joke. A farce. It’s like a daytime soap opera for cryin’ out loud.
As far as I’m concerned Favre, **** or get off the pot. And whichever it is, I don’t care to know anymore.
Cowboy Camp
A quick tidbit from early Cowboy camp:
“Undrafted WR Danny Amendola continues to impress by catching everything thrown to him”
‘at-a-kid! Good luck, Danny.
Cowboy “Pacman” Jones
It’s getting easier not to be a Cowboy fan every day. I didn’t like Terrell Owens coming to the team, but the teams overtures toward “Pacman” Jones really turned me off. Now I hear they’ve agreed in principle to a trade for him.
I long for the days when the “real” Cowboys played. Jerry’s version is disgusting.
