Hays Steps Down

Larry Hays has retired as the head coach of the Texas Tech baseball team.

Once Spencer was hired in I think most people knew it was to be the eventual head coach.  A few weeks ago Tech made that official, naming Spencer the head coach - designate.  It was just a matter of time.  This year’s results may have had something to do with Coach Hays hanging them up now rather than later.

Larry Hays is a classy individual and a man of principle.  I wish him all the best.
